Dedicated Server Not Working Properly

Ok, first off... i am aware of the other post about dedicated servers, but there are many tangents in that thread.

Issue:
I went through the other thread, found some issues... people refer to using GameServerPort, but when i do that the server defaults to port 7777 (using netstat -ab) BUT when i change it to Port=27025 it actually listens on that UDP port
Same with GameServerQueryPort .. i use this and doesnt show up in the steam servers list .. i specify QueryPort=27026 it shows up.

Now even if I get it to show in the steam server list, I cannot connect to it, the server list (in steam) shows the correct player numbers, ping response and map.... so its detecting the details, but when i click connect... it loads the game but doesn't connect to the server.
It also doesnt show up in the InGame server browser.

The game ALSO defaults to the ServerName "Conan Exiles Server" even though I have specified the server name in the command line AND in the Engine.ini file

I have also come across a Steam Handshake error.. not sure if this is preventing access or what?

I was having similar issues and after a bunch of trial and error, this is what I came up with.
Hopefully you find a solution to your issue by referencing my functioning server.

The config system for this game seems extremely fussy and since we don't have a useful guide(That I could find) for all the possible settings and where they should go, maybe your issue lies somewhere in there?

The current setup I have working looks like this:
I used //comments// to hide my personal names, passwords and IPs so just replace //comments// with whatever you like ie: ServerName=MyConanServer . And obviously, you can change ports to suit your needs, just don't forget to port forward.
Also firewalls are always a bitch, so make sure you have that sorted out.

StartServer.bat

I think I needed the -Multihome to get the dedicated and the client to work on the same PC, that was my understanding from reading another post.

The result is a 6 man server with a working name and password(provided that you replace the //comments//) that is join-able by both the hosting PC and clients outside of my local network.

1. Close Steam.
2. Launch your StartServer.bat and let the server come online.
3. Launch Conan Exiles through steam.
4. Go to the server browser and hopefully find your server.
5. Join, put in your password, and hopefully enjoy. lol
6. It takes a looong time to join, I'm pretty confident that the server is working once you see Preparing Character blahblah loading screen. For me it took several minutes, and at one point it shows ingame map building for a second, then goes back to either loading, or shows a non-functioning menu screen, but eventually will completely load into character creation. Patience!

DrunkMunki, your server seems to have the same BuildIdOverride in engine.ini so you can skip this, I'm only including it in the case that anyone else makes this mistake.
One issue I had was that my server wasn't up to date because I suck at SteamCMD and apparently had 2 copies of the server installed, so check your Engine.ini to see the BuildIdOverride, as of this post 192251545 is the latest, so it looked like my server was running, but neither my friend nor I could join.

The log seems to spit out "LogHandshake: Error reading handshake packet." whenever my friend would refresh the server list. This doesn't seem to indicate an issue since I just saw it repeated about 5 times when my friend successfully joined.

I'll check this post later today incase I can contribute anything else.

I think i fixed the issue, was because i was adding all the commands under
